Mandapa Ritz Reserve is the highest of Ritz Carlton collection. The brand deserves the best spot in Ubud Bali that make it unique over other properties. The resort is composed of land, hills, rice field, river and valley, which are the true value of the property.
Understanding the true value of the property, lighting concept was to create frames, to guide views to the natures behind. Contrast was carefully balanced, so that one aspect of illumination didn’t destroy others. Illumination on horizontal and vertical surface shall not competing with starry sky. Interior light was kept subtle, so not to distract exterior views. Depth of field is thoroughly explored to separate layers from front to back. LED sources used exposed further refinements, by applying filters to reduce crisp light, warming tone and cutting glare.
